But that’s not all that happened in July: an iconic telescope came back to life and new data from Marsquakes revealed secrets of the red planet’s insides. Space Tourism MIT technology Review critically reports on Richard Branson’s flight to the edge of space on July 11th on board of a spaceplane made by his company Virgin Galactic. Pointing out the criticism the “two billionaires racing to space amid a pandemic” received, the article also highlights the event’s potential to make space travel more accessible. Jeff Bezos left Earth just a few days later on July 20th. He was accompanied by his brother Mark Bezoz and 18-year-old Oliver Daemen on the inaugural flight of his company Blue Origin.
